The Power of Vulnerability and Adventure: How Simple Steps Can Spark Magic in Your Life

Welcome to She Thrives with Stef Barti, a podcast dedicated to empowering women to live their best lives and thrive unapologetically.

This blog post is based on Episode 38 of my podcast, She Thrives with Stef Barti. If you prefer to listen, you can check out the original podcast episode.

In this episode, I wanted to shift the focus a bit and share something a little more personal.

It’s less structured and more of a casual chit-chat. If you’re in need of some encouragement or a reminder that small actions can have big impacts, this one’s for you.

So, here’s what happened…

The Power of Stepping Outside

I spent the last eight days holed up in my house.

For someone who loves working from home, this is nothing new. But as the days passed, I didn’t even realize how much time I had spent indoors.

The days blurred together, and I started feeling disoriented. I was getting a lot of work done, but at the same time, I was losing track of time.

And then one day, I had to remind myself: “Stef, you need to leave the house today.”

It wasn’t that I was depressed; I actually loved being home. But the idea of stepping outside felt like a challenge all of a sudden.

It was strange because I usually enjoy walking around the neighbourhood or working from a local coffee shop, but today was different.

That’s when I remembered something important I had read in a book recently—Keep Going: 10 Ways to Stay Creative in Good Times and Bad. One of the tips that resonated with me was: “The demons hate fresh air.”

The author was talking about how simply stepping outside for a walk can shift your mindset and clear your head.

So, I decided to take this advice.

I went out for a walk, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. What started as a simple 30-minute walk ended up becoming an adventure that lasted hours.

The Magic of Setting Intentions

I’ve been feeling deeply connected to the moon and its energy lately, especially with this new moon approaching.

My spiritual friends had told me that it was a special time for setting intentions.

So, I made it a point to go outside and set mine.

I walked to a coffee shop nearby—a place I never really visited because it didn’t have a view of the ocean. I’m super grateful to live by the water.

so peaceful

But today, I decided to give it a shot. I wasn’t even sure what I was hoping for. Maybe a quiet spot to sit and journal?

As I walked in, I couldn’t believe it—every table was free, and I was able to pick the best spot in the house.

I grabbed a cozy couch, ordered my coffee and tiramisu, and began setting my intentions.

The sunset that evening was so beautiful, it felt like a sign from the universe, affirming everything I had written in my journal. I felt supported and aligned.

Finding Adventure in the Ordinary

After setting my intentions, I continued my walk, not quite ready to go home yet.

I ended up wandering through the neighbourhood, something I’d done a thousand times.

But today, I decided to take a different route. It was as if the universe was showing me that sometimes, all it takes to feel a shift is a small change in perspective.

As I walked in the opposite direction, I felt like I was rediscovering my neighbourhood. It was the same walk, but everything felt new.

It made me think about life in general—sometimes, when we feel stuck, it’s because we’re approaching the same problems the same way over and over.

If we just pause and try something different, even if it’s as simple as walking the other way, we might see the bigger picture.

Dancing With the Universe

But the magic didn’t stop there. As I walked, I came across a spot that was perfect for one of my favourite things: dancing.

I love dancing in the streets, especially when I’m by myself and can fully express my creativity.

So, I turned on my music and started dancing, completely in the moment. I didn’t care who saw me—I was having the time of my life.

It was one of those impromptu moments of pure joy that I’ll remember forever.

And it hit me that this was the universe’s way of responding to my intentions.

I had set the intention for more joy, adventure, and connection, and it came to me in the form of a spontaneous dance session.

The Power of Movement and Fresh Air

If there’s one thing I learned from this experience, it’s the incredible power of small actions.

We often think we need to do something grand or difficult to make progress, but sometimes, it’s the simple things that shift our energy and bring us into alignment.

Whether it’s stepping outside for a walk, taking a different route, or dancing in the street, these little moments can have a profound effect on our well-being.

As the author of Keep Going said, “When in doubt, tidy up. The demons hate fresh air.”

This is a reminder to clear our minds and bodies through movement, fresh air, and connecting with the world around us.

A Simple Walk Can Change Everything

It’s funny—when I left the house, I had no idea it would turn into such an adventure.

A simple walk turned into hours of joy, creativity, and new perspectives.

This experience reminded me that life is full of magic if we just let go of the resistance. The universe always has a way of guiding us to where we need to be.

So, my dear, if you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, remember that even the smallest actions can make a difference.

Go outside. Take a walk. Dance. Change your perspective. You never know what you might find along the way.

It’s time for us women to start appreciating our own magic

In this course, you will learn to connect with your body through some very sensual movements.

There is no fancy choreography to worry about. I really wanted to make this as simple as possible.

The goal is to give you a somatic practice that you can implement into your daily routine in order to start embodying your authentic self.

Because you are magic and deserve to take care of yourself

It is high time we start prioritizing our relationship with our own body too.

Because in order to be truly happy and content in life, I really believe you need to strike for a balance.

That means feeding your soul, your heart, your body.

You are magic !

And this is the goal of my ” Unleash your Feminine Power“.

The beautiful thing is that once you start getting in touch with that fire within, it only grows from there.

This energy will go on to light up your path, simultaneously guiding you through life.

So in a way, it is your own inner guiding compass. 💕
