My Favourite Restaurants In Bali- Where To Eat On Your Next Trip
There are so many restaurants in Bali, it’s insane. Where many places would have a small selection, Bali has the opposite problem.
It was very important for me to preface with this. I would probably require a lifetime to keep diving deep into the Bali restaurants scene.

That said, this blog will highlight some of my favourite restaurants in Bali, all based on my personal experience.
Ubud

Ubud is most definitely the spiritual capital of Bali.
Life slows down considerably. You really feel that people take the time to be present and grounded.
So it is no surprise to see this mindset transfers onto the culinary scene.
There is a plethora of restaurants. But here are some favourite.
Zest Ubud

This place is on another planet. I couldn’t believe it when I stepped in.
Zest Ubud has to be my all time favourite place on earth when it comes to design. It feels so magical and zen.
When I was there I felt like I was a mystical fairy who just landed right in the middle of the most beautiful magical jungle.
To make things interesting, it is also a plant based restaurant.

As in, their entire menu is vegan.
For transparency’s sake, I am not vegan.
But oh boy, was I taken aback by their creativity.
If you go there, make sure to check their dessert and ice cream selection also.
Absolutely scrumptious!
And then the icing on the proverbial cake, their tea selection.
As if this wasn’t overachieving already, the vibes are just top notch.

I went to Zest during both daytime and night time.
I also love how they had soothing classical music ( think Vivaldi Four Seasons type ) during the day.
I’m telling you the place is absolutely surreal and magical.
Pyramids of Chi Cafe

Another plant based restaurant.
Ok now looking back, I’m like what the hell was going on?
π€
It must have been the crowd I was with.

Anyways, the pyramids of Chi cafe also offers great plant based options.
They have a diverse selection of meals. And I totally recommend it for my vegan friends.
Blue Karma Dijiwa Restaurant

I am very fortunate to have stayed at the stunning Blue Karma Dijiwa hotel.
This place is pure paradise. And the restaurant there is a 10/10 recommend.

If you like fish and seafood like me, you can’t go wrong with this little gem. Even if you’re not staying there, you can still stop at the restaurant for a meal.

Canggu
Oh Canggu, where do I even start?
This place is a maze and I could probably dedicate a whole lifetime discovering its nooks and crannies.

Red GunPowder
Ok now let’s switch up the pace with this Indian restaurant.
I went there with my lovely bestie @shahadlabelle and the second we got there, we noticed it was quite a popular place for dates.

And rightfully so.
The setting is so romantic, especially in the evenings with the dimly lit tables.
And the food is absolutely scrumptious.

My mouth is watering right now as I am typing this and dreaming about that place again.
A special shout out for their mocktails also.
Rize Bali
This place is one of my bestie’s favourite restaurants. It’s another Indian contemporary restaurant. The meals are very fresh and earthy.

Plus there is a lovely outdoor seating area where you can enjoy amazing food and a beautiful scenery.
I also really love how it is tucked in Pererenan and a little further away from the hectic and busy Canggu areas.
Sunday Kitchen

Now this is a favourite place of mine.
I got to try it, for one last breakfast, on the morning I was leaving Bali.
It’s a lovely Brazilian kitchen with a beautiful interior.

The menu has some of the highest quality of food you will find around.
The dishes are so yummy.
If you find yourself craving Brazilian food or just simply want to eat something different, I recommend that place 100%.

I can’t wait to go back to Bali and eat there again.
Summary
I hope you enjoyed my selection of some of the best restaurants in Canggu and Ubud.
As I keep going to Bali, I will update the list. I can’t wait to keep testing and exploring new places and keep this section of blog updated for my fellow foodies.
