5 Ways to Thrive This Year With Mindfulness, Growth, and Connection
Welcome to She Thrives with Stef Barti, a podcast dedicated to empowering women to live their best lives and living unapologetically. embracing self-actualization, and thriving in every aspect of life.
Hey girlies, I hope you’re doing well and I wanted to take this moment to check in with you, share what’s been on my mind, and give you a sneak peek of what’s to come this year.
This blog post is based on Episode 62 of my podcast, She Thrives with Stef Barti. If you prefer to listen, you can check out the original podcast episode.
This episode is just a little chat between us. Picture me sitting on my couch, sipping on a warm drink, and talking directly to you.
It’s been a while since we’ve connected, and I’ve missed it.
Honestly, I’ve been thinking about you all day, reflecting on what’s been happening in my life, and I wanted to share some of that with you.

New You or Same Old You but Upgraded
Now, let’s get into it.
Yes, it’s the start of a new calendar year, but for me, my “new year” doesn’t always begin with January 1st.
Growing up, I always felt that September was the real start of the year (thank you, school schedules), and that feeling has stuck with me.

Add to that the excitement around my birthday and the turning of another year of life, and it’s clear that I have a couple of “new years” that I resonate with.
But enough about that!
While many people focus on New Year’s resolutions, I’ve learned not to stress myself out with them anymore.
To be honest, I’ve moved away from the traditional “new year, new me” mentality. And honestly? It feels so freeing.
I don’t want to put unnecessary pressure on myself. I’d rather focus on growth in a way that’s slow, steady, and aligned with where I am right now.
This shift in perspective has really helped me release the anxiety that used to come with the turn of the calendar.
Instead, I’m focusing on aligning myself with the natural rhythms of the world, and I’m especially drawn to the moon cycles.
Living in Alignment with the Moon
Speaking of rhythms, I’ve recently become obsessed with the lunar cycle.

I didn’t mean to, but over the past few months, I’ve noticed my body responding to the full moon and its phases.
Can you relate?
There’s something so powerful about slowing down and really syncing up with nature.

I started exploring the idea of living in alignment with the moon after reading the book Sacred Seasons by Kirsty Gallagher.
This concept of being mindful of the lunar phases is not just a trend—it’s something deeper.
It forces me to slow down and think more intentionally about my goals and actions.
With every new moon, I set an intention, and throughout the month, I focus on that one thing.
It’s like having a built-in reminder to check in with myself, and honestly, I feel so much more grounded and productive because of it.

Exciting Changes Ahead
Now, let’s talk about what’s coming up on the podcast this year.
I’m SO excited!
Seriously, I have a never-ending list of topics that I want to dive into with you. It feels like I’m discovering new things every day, and I can’t wait to share it all with you.
This podcast has become such a personal, intimate space for me, and I hope it feels the same for you.
I want this to be a conversation between us—one that goes beyond just me talking to you. I’m trying to figure out ways to make this space feel more interactive and engaging.

& who cares it’s only 9 AM?
Soon, you’ll be able to share your thoughts, reactions, and even ideas for future episodes.
And of course, you can always leave a comment under my YouTube videos or share your thoughts through the rating system on the podcast platform.
If something resonates with you, I’d love to hear about it.
If something doesn’t, no worries at all—just take what works for you and leave the rest. 🫶🏾
Let’s Stay Mindful this year
This year, I’m really focused on mindfulness—especially when it comes to how we consume content.

We live in a world where it’s easy to get triggered or caught up in negativity. Trust me, I’ve been there too. 🤭
But this year, I want us all to be more mindful in how we engage with the world around us.
We don’t have to take things personally or get caught up in negativity. Let’s choose to focus on what empowers us and helps us grow.
One thing I’ve been diving deep into lately is the nervous system.

I’ve always been fascinated by it, and I feel like it’s the perfect time to explore this topic with you.
As many of you know, I was torn between law school and neuroscience when I was younger, so this obsession goes way back.
This year, I’m reading more books, doing more research, and bringing you all along for the ride as we learn about this powerful aspect of our bodies together.

Slowing Down & Prioritizing Ourselves
In closing, I want to encourage all of us to slow down this year.
The world moves so fast, but we don’t have to.
I’m committed to prioritizing myself—my health, my wellness, and my personal growth. I want to be more present in everything I do, and I hope you do too.
I can feel it in the air—this year is going to be a transformative year for all of us.
There’s been a huge shift since the COVID-19 pandemic, and now, more than ever, women are embracing spirituality, mindfulness, and wellness.
They’re prioritizing their health, going on solo travels, and chasing their dreams fearlessly. I love seeing this shift, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.

Thank you for being here with me. I’m so excited for what’s ahead, and I’m grateful to have you on this journey with me.
Let’s make this year one of growth, self-love, and connection.🫶🏾

Additional Resource to help you slow down
Feminine embodiment & Self Love Practice
I created my “Unleash your Feminine Power” to help you really start diving into your own unique power.

In this course, you will learn to connect with your body through some very sensual movements.
There is no fancy choreography to worry about. I really wanted to make this as simple as possible.
The goal is to give you a somatic practice that you can implement into your daily routine in order to start embodying your authentic self.

It is high time we start prioritizing our relationship with our own body too.
Because in order to be truly happy and content in life, I really believe you need to strike for a balance.
That means feeding your soul, your heart, your body.

And this is the goal of my ” Unleash your Feminine Power“.
The beautiful thing is that once you start getting in touch with that fire within, it only grows from there.
This energy will go on to light up your path, simultaneously guiding you through life.
So in a way, it is your own inner guiding compass. 💕

Women Self Love Wellness Retreat
I am so passionate about women empowerment. Everything I do is based on this. I want to see more women embrace their authentic selves. Trust me life gets so much better.
That’s the main focus of my self love women retreat. In this Wellness retreat, we go deep. I really love to connect with my fellow sisters.
That’s why I only do small groups of 10-12 women.

This retreat is an invitation to embody your feminine and to dive into radical self love. Growth and shedding past limiting beliefs is the focal point.
We do this through various workshops, wellness practices such as breath work and lots of somatic movement.

As a dance teacher, of course we will also be using the power of dance and music to process, release and shed things that are holding us back so we can be born again.
Welcome to our transformational retreat where the focus is all on YOU.
Not only that, but we do it in style and comfort.

Our next retreat is in a breathtaking villa on the beautiful island of Gozo Malta. We will be staying in our own private villa.
And did I mention our own private chef? with our own private pool 🤭.

It is the perfect time to slow down and prioritize yourself.
Also, don’t forget to stay in touch for my Bali self love women wellness retreat, for pure feminine embodiment and lots of dancing also.
