7 Easy and Fun Ways to Lose Weight Without Feeling Like a Chore
Welcome to She Thrives with Stef Barti, a podcast dedicated to empowering women to live their best lives and thrive unapologetically.
This blog post is based on Episode 30 of my podcast, She Thrives with Stef Barti. If you prefer to listen, you can check out the original podcast episode.
Are you tired of treating weight loss like a punishment? Are you tired of stressing over long workouts and bland meals?
It’s time to shift your mindset.
Losing weight doesn’t have to feel like a struggle—it can actually be fun!
In today’s blog, I’m sharing my best tips for making weight loss easy and enjoyable, so you can feel empowered as you work toward your health and fitness goals.
Here are my 7 top tips for making weight loss effortless and enjoyable:
Make It Fun!
First and foremost, you have to make the process enjoyable. The reason many of us struggle with weight loss is because we treat it like a boring task.
Let’s face it—when we don’t enjoy something, we’re less likely to stick with it.
Your brain is naturally wired to resist things that feel like a chore, so why not make it fun?
There are so many fun fitness activities out there!

You don’t have to go to a gym if that’s not your vibe.
If you love dancing, why not take up a dance class or try something like Zumba?
Boxing, Muay Thai, cycling, rollerblading—these are all fantastic ways to move your body without feeling like you’re working out.
If you can find an activity you love, you’ll be much more likely to stick with it.
If you need some help to embody your magic, I created the perfect self love dance based course to ignite the goddess in you ✨“Unleash Your Wild Feminine” ✨
Keep It Short and Sweet
We all have busy lives, so spending hours at the gym isn’t realistic for most people. The key is to keep your workouts short but effective.
I personally love weight training, and I’ve found that 35 to 45 minutes is the perfect amount of time for me.
It’s long enough to get a great workout in, but short enough to keep me engaged.
Try not to pressure yourself to work out for long periods. A quick, focused workout is often more beneficial than a long, drawn-out session. Don’t forget: It’s about quality, not quantity!

Mix It Up to Stay Engaged
If you find yourself getting bored with your fitness routine, it’s time to mix things up.
Our brains crave novelty, and constantly doing the same thing can leave us feeling uninspired.
Whether it’s switching up your workout routine or trying a new fitness class, keeping things fresh will prevent you from losing motivation.
For example, if you normally lift weights, try incorporating a cycling class or even a pole dancing class into your routine. This variety will keep you engaged and excited to work out.

Make It a Lifestyle, Not a Temporary Fix
Weight loss shouldn’t be a quick, short-term goal—it should be a lifestyle.
Stop thinking of it as something you do for a few months and then go back to old habits. True transformation happens when you incorporate healthy habits into your everyday life.
I’ve gone through phases where I tried fad diets when I was younger and didn’t know nay better (remember the cabbage soup diet?) or extreme restrictions, but that’s not sustainable in the long run.
To keep the weight off for good, you need to make movement and healthy eating a part of your daily routine.

Find a Community for Accountability
One of the best ways to stay motivated is by building a support system. Find a gym or fitness class with a strong community vibe.
Having people who are expecting you to show up makes all the difference!
For example, when I go to my local gym, I know my friends are there, and we hold each other accountable.
The community feel keeps me motivated and excited to get my workouts in. Whether it’s a local fitness group or an online community, having people to cheer you on is crucial.

Automate Your Routine
One of the biggest challenges to staying consistent with your fitness goals is motivation—some days you just won’t feel like working out.
This is where routine comes in. If you can make fitness a regular part of your day, you won’t have to rely on motivation to get moving.
Just like brushing your teeth or taking a shower, working out should become a habit. Set a time each day to exercise, and make it part of your daily routine.
Once you’ve committed to doing it regularly, it will become second nature.

Reward Yourself and Make It Fun
Treat yourself with rewards to keep your motivation high.
Whether it’s a new workout outfit or a favourite healthy snack, small rewards help you stay excited about your fitness journey.
For me, I love investing in cute workout clothes and even adding a little bit of perfume and lip gloss to feel extra good during my workouts.

The key is to make it a fun, positive experience. Treat yourself with love and appreciation for showing up and putting in the work!
Final Thoughts
Remember, the process of losing weight doesn’t have to be painful or boring.
When you make it fun, keep your routines short and fresh, and turn your fitness journey into a lifestyle, you’ll start to see real results.
And don’t forget, it’s all about consistency.
You don’t have to be perfect, but if you keep showing up, you will see transformation over time.

Additional Resource to help you slow down
Feminine embodiment & Self Love Practice
I created my “Unleash your Feminine Power” to help you really start diving into your own unique power.

In this course, you will learn to connect with your body through some very sensual movements.
There is no fancy choreography to worry about. I really wanted to make this as simple as possible.
The goal is to give you a somatic practice that you can implement into your daily routine in order to start embodying your authentic self.

It is high time we start prioritizing our relationship with our own body too.
Because in order to be truly happy and content in life, I really believe you need to strike for a balance.
That means feeding your soul, your heart, your body.

And this is the goal of my ” Unleash your Feminine Power“.
The beautiful thing is that once you start getting in touch with that fire within, it only grows from there.
This energy will go on to light up your path, simultaneously guiding you through life.
So in a way, it is your own inner guiding compass. 💕

Women Self Love Wellness Retreat
I am so passionate about women empowerment. Everything I do is based on this. I want to see more women embrace their authentic selves. Trust me life gets so much better.
That’s the main focus of my self love women retreat. In this Wellness retreat, we go deep. I really love to connect with my fellow sisters.
That’s why I only do small groups of 10-12 women.

This retreat is an invitation to embody your feminine and to dive into radical self love. Growth and shedding past limiting beliefs is the focal point.
We do this through various workshops, wellness practices such as breath work and lots of somatic movement.

As a dance teacher, of course we will also be using the power of dance and music to process, release and shed things that are holding us back so we can be born again.
Welcome to our transformational retreat where the focus is all on YOU.
Not only that, but we do it in style and comfort.

Our next retreat is in a breathtaking villa on the beautiful island of Gozo Malta. We will be staying in our own private villa.
And did I mention our own private chef? with our own private pool 🤭.

It is the perfect time to slow down and prioritize yourself.
Also, don’t forget to stay in touch for my Bali self love women wellness retreat, for pure feminine embodiment and lots of dancing also.
