16 Self-Care Routines to Romanticize Your Everyday Life
Looking to glamorize your life?
Look no further.
In this blog, I will share some of my best self care tips you can incorporate right now.
In case you’re new to the concept of romanticizing your life, I also wrote an extensive guide on why you should start romanticizing and how to do it.
Don’t forget to check it out as it is a precursor to this current guide.

I talk about how Romanticizing your life is important because it grounds you. It also allows you to be in the present moment.
And it just so happens that one powerful way to romanticize your life is through self care.
Those tiny acts are so simple.
Yet they will leave you feeling better about yourself while uplifting your spirit.
Those routines will also leave you feeling refreshed and help you dive into your feminine energy.

Prioritizing me time
This is very important because this will allow you to slow down.
Another trick is to lean into what you just already naturally love.
But here are some ideas to get you started and glamorize your life.
Queens, it’s time to start bringing main character energy.
I also love how all those little things make me feel extra feminine. π

Luxurious bath time
If you’re not doing this already, I do urge you to start asap.
Incorporating luxurious bath times is the ultimate self-care soft life move.
Go ahead!
Pick up your favourite bath bomb, light up some candles and prepare your favourite drinks.
Whether you’re dinking alcohol or not, now is the time to go extra.
Usually, I would pour myself a glass of my favourite wine.

Currently, I’m doing a dry year challenge, so I’m all about that fancy mocktail life. π€
Bring a book with you.
Make it your time!
The goal is to have fun and focus on yourself.
Indulge in all those senses.

Improve your hygiene routine
No judgement here as this comes from someone who didn’t have a face cream not that long ago.
That is something that I have started paying very close attention to.
As I am getting older ( ahem #TeamMillenialWoman) it is now a focal point of my daily routineπ€
The goal isn’t to be scared of aging ( unlike so many gen-Z-ers).
The point it to embrace self love and choosing to age gracefully.
But I digress here!
All I am trying to say is to take care of your body so that it can cary you through future days as seamless and blissfully as possible. π

walk and taking fresh air
Morning and Evening routines
Perhaps, I should have started with this point first.
But the goal is to get excited for your daily routines and see them as an opportunity to pamper yourself.
Ok fine!
These routines are not absolutely a requirement in life. But I can tell you that my morning routine has definitely improved my life.
I take the time to check into my gratitude journal, read at least one paragraph from a book, do a 5 minute meditation, then a few minutes to stretch my body.
That’s it!
I adjust the duration depending on how much time and how busy I am on each particular day.
And omg I can always see the difference on those days that I skip my routine.
So yes, it helps me be grounded and ready to take on whatever the day throws at me.

Have Fun Wearing pretty dresses
I absolutely LOVE dresses and skirts.
They always make me feel like a million bucks.
So try to wear dresses or whatever else makes you feel great in your body.
I have some friends who absolutely love to wear tuxedos π
So do wear whatever makes you happy.
I just want to remind you to stop saving that outfit for that special occasion. Turn everyday into that special occasion.
That alone will change your outlook on life for the better. π

The devil’s in the details
The perfect idiom to remind you to pay attention to the small details.
You know all those repetitive things that we write-off as not that important?
Well! Turns out that those seemingly insignificant things often have the most impact on our well being and mental health.

Accessorize
You need to start to ornate yourself like a beautiful delicate flower.
This will make you feel some type of way. But most importantly, it will make you feel super special and will improve your self esteem.
For example I love rings and dresses amongst many other little things. So find out what you like and have fun.
Find a signature scent
I can’t believe I almost forgot to mention this.
I absolutely love perfumes.
Yes I know they can get a little bit expensive but there is all sorts of alternatives.
You can also sign up to a perfume membership where they let you try out various sample sizes before you settle on favourites and splurge on full size bottles.

Take yourself on regular dates
Not being in a relationship is not an excuse.
Again, let me reiterate!
Being single doesn’t give you a free pass for you to indulge in self abandonment.

Stop waiting for some prince in a white shiny armour to come and save you my love.
I know life is hard and us women mostly grew up on that Disney fantasy cool-aid.
And how much I hate be the one to burst your bubbles.

Of course there are absolutely amazing men out there who would make great life partners.
That said, you cannot wait around and cry yourself to sleep every night.
As usual, this is all coming from a place of love. β‘
You need to take care of yourself and your need.

Exercise
This is the one thing that you can invest in that will pay back ten fold.
Do make the time to exercise!
Before you go and tell me that you don’t like anything.
I urge you to keep an open mind.

It doesn’t have to be running on the treadmill at the gym.
There are limitless options.
Their trick is to find something that you like so that it can become second nature to you.

Get plenty of sleep
Yes I know!
π€
You definitely don’t want to hear this. But yes it’s one of those things that we all need to prioritize just a little bit better.

No swimming as this is is there city’s main drinking water
Prioritize your peace always
The older you get, the more you start to prioritize your peace.
It is one of your most valuable asset in life. Take good care of it and guard your peace like gold.
Find hobbies that you like
I could talk about this for AGES.
As someone with ADHD, I do have lots of hobbies.
It’s unreal π€
That said, I’m so happy to finally be at the point where I feel that I’ve learned to juggle everything that’s on my plate.
No need to go overboard like yours truly. But hobbies are really important.
Need some ideas to get you started?
Take Time for Yourself
Ok now it’s one thing to have hobbies but you also have to make time for them too.
Know and truly believe that you deserve beautiful things.
Then become ruthless in the pursuit of your own happiness.
Find Your tribe
I didn’t always believe in the sisterhood but now I am a firm believer.
I have a whole 15 min podcast episode telling you how important sisterhood is and how it can really enhance your life for the better.
