Everything You Need to Know for Your Visit at Aura Skypool Dubai: The World’s Highest 360-degree Infinity Pool – (A Review from an Actual Resident)
Let’s set the record straight. In this extensive guide, I will give you an in depth review of Aura skypool Dubai. It is the world’s highest infinity pool. I was so impressed that I sat down to write this lengthy 4400 words review on Aura.
You’ve seen the pictures on Instagram and you first thought no way?
Yes I had the exact same reaction as you.

Of course I had to check it out. The place is absolutely INSANE and you haven’t seen anything like it before.
Trust me, I have travelled all around the world. And this is coming from a certified beach and pool babe.
I take one for the team and go check out the best pool and beach clubs around the world and come back and report about them on this blog “StefBarti” here.
So let’s dive in! Shall we?
I will give you an exquisite tour of what is probable the world’s most photogenic and otherworldly infinity pool and beach club.
What exactly is Aura? And What is the fuss about?

Aura is a one of a kind pool. Picture this! You rolling in on the weekend in your best casual day dress. Later you get into your favorite bikini that you carefully selected for the day.
So far so good.
Only thing is you just were not ready for what would come next. You, hanging out at the world’s highest 360-degree pool. You find yourself 200 meters above ground, taking in one of the most breathtaking views ever known to mankind.
We’re talking some of the most iconic Dubai landscapes here. The expansive Dubai skyline, the palm Jumeirah, you name it!
Want to make all this daydreaming even better? Now close your eyes and imagine the beautiful sunset hues gliding over the calm blue seas of the Arabian horizon.
Am I making you want to experience this place yet?
Let’s get to the nitty gritty now and let me tell you more about one of my favorite pool clubs in Dubai
Where is it located?
It is located on the 50th floor of the Palm Tower in Palm Jumeirah Dubai
What are the opening hours?

Please check their website as the time varies depending on weekdays or weekends. That said, they are open relatively early in the morning (6 AM to 10 AM) to quite late at night around 11PM.
What hotel is Aura Skypool Dubai located in?
Aura skypool shares the same building as the St Regis Hotel on the palm.
How do you get there? (Tips so you don’t get lost like I did )

I will be honest, it can be a headache for first timers.
Getting there wasn’t exactly rocket science when it comes to the address per se. Anyone who’s been to Dubai can acknowledge how driving there can feel like a maze at times.
The struggle is finding the specific entrance to get to the Palm tower. We ended up missing the entrance so many times and having to circle back, thus losing a good 35 to 45 min of our reservation. There isn’t any big sign from the main road.
You need to take a right into that tiny alleyway that looks like the taxi exit. Now that I think about it, I think the problem is that we were driving on the same side as the tower. But looking back, if you are coming from the other side of the road, you can see the entrance easier.
In that case (from the opposite road direction), the entrance will be a left turn into the St Regis hotel.
Are there any Valet Service?
Yes, you should drive your car up to the St Regis hotel entrance and this is where you will also valet your car. The valet service is free for guests.
Do you need reservations?

Absolutely!
Reservations are a MUST.
I would not count on showing up last minute without having secured your spots as they are limited.
Make your way to their booking platform and save yourself from potential headaches. You will also have to select your sitting area ( more on this later in this post).
They showcase the whole floorplan along with pictures. This is where you select whether you want to be overlooking the intricate Palm, the iconic Burj Al Arab, the city skyline or the Bluewaters island along with its world famous Dubai Eye.
Like I said earlier, I will cover this more in depth further down in this extensive Aura Skypool guide. A few paragraphs down I have a section covering the best spots in the house so you know which sections to book.
I just want you to know right off the bat that once you pick your sitting location, then you will also have to choose the sitting type you would like.

Yes I know, I know!
Honestly this is the most detailed oriented I’ve seen an online booking for a pool beach club. At first I thought it was quite a lot but quickly appreciated this detail oriented process, this way one knows exactly what to expect. It is so specific that no one can show up and complain that they didn’t know what they signed up for.
So you will see many are options such as your usual sun loungers and day beds but also couches, tall tables and chairs.
They do a really good job on the site and obviously the best spots are the most expensive and also get booked the quickest 🙂

( from their website https://auraskypool.com/)
What are the prices like?
As you can see in the previous image, the prices start at 200 AED ( Approx. 55 USD/ 75 Cad/ 50 Euro)
There are different tiers and the price will vary depending on were you sit, your type of sitting chairs. Even the timing can also affect the ticket prices too. For example, I noticed that the slot closer to the sunset was much more pricier than let’s say early morning.
Of course this all makes sense. Most people will tend to prioritize sunset time than early morning. And the folks at Aura surely have a good grasp on the basic economic principle of supply and demand.
Now you’re probably already getting a good hang on the Aura mindset.
One more thing, They do know that the devil’s in the details and I agree with them wholeheartedly.
I swear it’s always the little details that make or break a place. So their little touch and attention to details weren’t lost on me.

I ended up paying about 1050 AED for 3 people ( approx. 285 USD/ 380 CAD/260 Euro). This was not the base ticket but the couch area.
I liked my spot a lot.
Please bare in mind that those first in line sun loungers that you see trending on Instagram ( Yes the ones right in front of the pool facing the Palm) are a little bit pricier since it’s such a prime front of the house seat.
That said, again, I was happy with our couch 🙂
Remember the details I mentioned earlier?
Well yes, I thought it was such a nice little touch. They also give you a nice beach bag and a clear plastic pouch. I haven’t seen any other beach clubs or private pools do this gesture before. Yes being the blogger that I am, of course I did notice that they branded the items with their logos. I still thought it was such a brilliant marketing.
Way to hit that marketing target in style. Funny thing is I still use the beach bag as I am typing this review in my neighborhood coffee shops long after my visit 🙂

Is the Ticket price redeemable on F&B?

Short answer, No.
This is a practice that is very specific to the region and the UAE. Where a portion or the full price of your entrance ticket will often be fully redeemable towards food and drinks.
Residents are really spoiled here and we definitely get used to having a portion of the ticket price being redeemable. That said, it is not the case at Aura skylounge. But since the place is so unique and in a way, such a world record, I think that was also kind of fair.
I mean you are at the highest infinity pool in the world after all! As if it was not enough but it’s also 360 degree on the 50th floor of a building.
Where else can you find yourself in these conditions 200 meters above ground?

What a time to be alive!
Honestly, I have no complaints. If you are a geek like me and wondering about the intricate behind the scene of what it took to build such a world wonder, apologies for coming at you empty handed. I have scouted the entire web and was unable to find any documentary on the building process. 🙁
How does the payment work? Do you have to pre-pay?
When you go to the website to make your reservation, you will enter your credit card info. Then please note that they will process the full cost of the tickets. One thing to note is that there is a cut off date for you to cancel and get a refund.
Honesty with how popular this place is, I think it is a very fair practice.
How long can you stay there?
When you book, you will have a specific time slot. Unless you book a daybed for a full day, usually you would have 3 hours. This is important because just like some fine dining restaurants, they operate based on sittings. This allows them to tidy up the place and get ready for the next guests.
How far in advance can you book Aura Skypool Dubai?

I hear many people say that the reservation open 14 days in advance. I don’t know why they say that becasue from my personal experience, I was able to book as far out as 6 weeks ahead. Yep!!
What?
Haha, yes I know! I am a bit of a planning freak. Specially that I had my bestie visiting me all the way from Canada and I just wanted to give her the full Dubai experience and WoW her. So I wasn’t about to let unavailability ruin my plans 🙂
On that note, don’t forget to check out my upcoming Dubai Luxury Tour for the best small intimate and curated Dubai experience.
I also find it funny because, so many of the seats were already fully booked when I did my reservation one month and a half early. All this to say that I recommend booking as early as you find out and plan to go. This is especially true if you are a tourist on a very specific time frame.

One more thing!
Don’t forget to check your email as they do confirm your reservation one day before and you need to click and confirm your attendance. Honestly, I’m not really sure why they do that. Especially that they already charge your card in advance.
Maybe it’s just a way for them to kindly remind you of your booking so that people don’t forget and come back asking for refunds and leaving bad reviews later.
Oh well!
What is the best time slots?
It really depends on your preferences. I like enjoying the pool during the day time but I also love a good dramatic sunset. So for me, the best time to reserve was at 2pm. After losing about 45 min looking for the entrance to the premises, I ended up staying for about 2 hours which was plenty .
I did not get to fully watch the sun go down but was able to catch the different sunset hues over the Palm. I really think it was magical.
If you want to do the same, make sure to check the sunset time and pick the time slots that best align with your visit.
Which sitting area is the best? Which area should you book into? Where are the best Views?

If I absolutely have to pick, it would be the Palm view.
Again the planning freak in me was really obsessing over this. As much as I would like to say that there are no bad seats in the house. There are still some more desirable areas.

On the bright side, don’t fret if you are not able to get the location you want ( because you have to select this during the booking process as mentioned before). You can still have all your belongings in your dedicated spots and still wandering and swim around, anywhere you want.
Are guests free to move around or do you have to stay in your designated area?
This was a major concern I had before. Like I mentioned before, you can wander around the whole 360 platform freely. Guests have access to the whole deck.
Moreover the pool is all connected. I was happy to notice that they weren’t sectioned. So if you don’t get your first spot, it’s ok. You will still have a fantastic time.
What is the parking situation?
You don’t really have to worry about that since they will valet your car for free when you arrive at the entrance which is the St Regis hotel one.
What is the vibe like?
The vibe is top notch honestly, nothing bad to say. Bring yourself and a positive vibe and I promise you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time.
What is the music like?

I know my fellow musicophiles will be in for a treat. I really appreciated the fact that it wasn’t your usual top charts music. The DJ made sure to play the best music to go along with the mood and atmosphere.
So you can expect to jam to the best progressive trance and chill out music. I honestly think this is one of the best music for pool days and beach clubs.
My brain absolutely loves this type of music and once you pair this up with good food, unique views and some nice drink, I swear it’s pure joy.
Is it Instagrammable? What is the Instagram status like?

You best believe it is! 🙂
Honestly, I couldn’t stop myself from smiling a little bit writing this question. And yes I’ve been asked this too. I used to hate IG so much a few years back but I’ve actually come around.
Now I use it and gasp, I actually really enjoy it and would go as far as saying that I really like the app. Anyways, I digress.

All I’m trying to say is that it is human nature to want to take beautiful pictures. This is nothing new and has been going on way back in time.
Weather it being through black and white photographs or even paintings and sketching. Point it, it’s innate in human nature to want to immortalize a moment.
Oh my goodness, I’m out of topic again.
So yes, all this to say that this has got to be one of the most instagrammable places I’ve seen in Dubai and also a top world contender.
How deep is the pool?
I am happy to report that the depth is 1.25 meters.
They never really make these pool deep. The point is not to be swimming laps but to enjoy yourself while sipping some margaritas with the outstanding views.
One more thing, what I like about Aura is that you can go in the morning, during the day, for sunset and even at night. The pool is temperature controlled so that’s actually really great for those late nigh relaxing.
Can anyone access the pool?
The pool is reserved for Aura skylounge guests.
How old do guest have to be to visit?
Their website says that you need to be at least 15 years old to be a guest at Aura Skypool. And this up to 8pm. So up until 8 pm, 15 years old+ can access and as long as there is an adult. That said after 8pm, it is strictly 21 years +
Not to be a buzzkill but I am quite happy that these are enforced. There are quite a few security guards on the premises so best believe that they make sure these rules are respected.
What is the vibe like?

Remember the rules I just mentioned? Yes !
Well thanks to Aura being tailored for grown ups, you can expect to have and awesome relaxing time without any kids yelling, crying or screaming. You also won’t have to worry about getting pushed in the pool nor splashed while you’re trying to connect to your Zen 🙂
This creates a beautiful adult atmosphere where adults can relax and de-stress which I’m so thankful for. Dubai really knows how to cater to adults so this won’t be a problem.
That said, don’t expect Ibiza clubbing vibe either.
I don’t think it ever gets to that level even when they are hosting events. There are just too many fancy residence in the area and they are trying to cater to a more sophisticated atmosphere.
That said, on a regular weekend, of course there is a DJ on the deck with very pleasant music.
What should you wear to go to Aura?
So many of my friends back home in Canada, believe that Dubai is some place where one has to wear a burka. This couldn’t be further from the truth. As you can see from my pictures and video, you can actually wear whatever you want.
What type of Bikinis can girls wear?

You will see the usual suspect such as cheeky bikinis, thongs and even as far as strings as they are slowly making their way into the mainstream now. 😋
What should you expect?
Honestly I can’t believe that I sat down and wrote a 4400 words essay on Aura sky lounge. I am not getting paid to write this guide 🙂 All this to say that if this doesn’t show you how much I fell in love with the place than I don’t know what else will.
What Type of food do they have? What’s the Food like?

Did I mention that I’m a foodie?
So of course this is one of the most important questions. 🙂
And let me tell you that the food is AMAZING. I don’t even know why this came as a surprise to me. It is located in a luxury hotel after all, so it makes total sense that they will have one of the best chefs serving nothing but the best food.
I was able to sample a few items and there was no bad choices. As much as I want to give recommendations, everything I got would be a top choice.

I was able to taste quite a few dishes as you can see in the picture. The barbeque short ribs melted in my mouth. The sticky duck salad was just out of this world. The Balinese Satay chicken was perfect. We’re talking about some very juicy chicken.
When it comes to the flatbread ( aka fancy pizza), I went for the Hoisin duck and oh my, I can literally still taste it as I am writing this review now. The sushi was also a hit along with the truffle fries. Like I said, the chef understood the assignment and he did not come to play.
That said, I couldn’t make it to the dessert so sadly, I cannot report on that.
What about the Drinks?

One thing I can talk about is the drinks. I love me some nice drinks while relaxing by the pool. I noticed that the drink menu wasn’t the most extensive but there was still plenty to cover a wide range of tastes.
#1 Tip so you have the best experiences
-Do not go without making reservations. This will keep disappointment at bay. That said you can try your luck if it’s during the week. I’m warning you though, this place is really popular with both tourists and residents alike.
What other activities can one do at Aura Dubai? What else is going on at the venue?

Wat I love about Aura Skypool Dubai is that they have a few things going on.
Yes obviously there is the pool along with the highest lounge in Dubai, according to their website. but there is so much more.
If you are like me and love self care, you will be in for a treat. They also have yoga on the main deck over looking the Palm.
Close your eyes for a second and imagine channeling your inner peace in such a place, feeling on top of the world.
My fellow gym bunnies are also in for a really good time. They also regularly pull out the bikes and host some spinning classes to.
Also check regularly as they often have tons of cool activities. For example, they have some paint, sip and swim events some time in collaboration with Artfem. Imagine a night where you are painting in your bikini with your besties while sipping bubbly and overlooking the beautiful Palm and Dubai night lights.
Dubai really knows a thing or two about the fine art of living.
By the way, I also take you to Aura in my Dubai experience. There’s no way I can let you miss this. 🙂
Yoga Classes

I haven’t done this one yet but It is definitely on my priority list.
Aura hosts yoga classes on the top deck every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday morning from 8 AM to 9 AM.
There is also a breakfast right after in the lounge area ( still on the top floor deck).
In case you’re wondering, the Lounge is in the middle and the360 pool circumvents it. They also have a night Yoga every Wednesday evening from 8pm to 9pm.
Don’t forget to double check their website in case they change the timings or days.
And of course, I’m still beating a dead horse here, reservations are always recommended, especially that they have such limited spots.
Do they have a brunch at Aura skypool Dubai?
Dubai loves its brunches!
You’ve probably seen so many memes online but it’s just part of Dubai culture.
There is a night brunch every Friday from 8pm- 11 pm. You can expect free flowing drinks and a Pan Asian menu for the starting price of 480 AED (~ 130 USD/ 175 CAD/ 119 Euro).
I say starting price because this is Dubai after all and when it comes to prices, the sky’s the limit.
For those who want to make it rain and order bottle services, Dubai got you! 😎
The Restrooms & Changing Area

Before we end this lengthy Aura review, can we talk about the restrooms please. I can’t possibly be the only one who loves pretty and aesthetically pleasing bathroom. I always makes sure to check it out to see how it is decorated.

The second you open the door, the boho chic deco takes you into this little whimsical world. There you will be spoiled with fine toiletries, a head shower and a bikini dryer so you don’t have to take your wet bikini home.

I’m telling you, the attention to details 🙂
Special Mention/ Final Words Guest Customer Service & Relations
I also need to give a special mention to the amazing customer service and staff.
These people work so hard so I always try my best to shine some light on them as they can pretty much make or break a place.
The little details add up and customer service DOES in fact matter. This is something that can be a bit of a miss and hit in Dubai. But nope, it is not enough to have a very lavish and swanky venue. Outstanding customer service and care also has to be there.

I was so thrilled to see how friendly the entire staff was. I went in, expecting some uptight attitude but I was pleasantly surprised.
The waiters were all so caring and eager to help. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about that place.
Whatever the management at Aura is doing to foster this amazing service level, they need to keep going. I really hope the employees are fairly incentivize because this definitely translate into customer retention and business longevity.
It’s insane how so many places still don’t understand this basic concept.
As long as Aura keeps it up, you will have a FANTASTIC time over there. I honestly cannot wait to be back for another follow up visit.
Want to spend an amazing time At Aura Skypool with a small group of like minded ladies?

And I love that Aura Skypool is definitely a focal part of my curated Dubai tour. Don’t forget to join the awesome tribe of fellow adventurous ladies so that you don’t miss out when I release more details on it.
