Best Brunches: W Abu Dhabi “Brunch in Garage”- Yas Island
Brunches are a huge part of UAE culture. Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi residents along with tourists alike are obsessed with this social activity. You get it! Some take brunching extremely seriously. Of course as your public servant, I make it my duty to attend as many of them possible so that I can report back.

Without further ado, let’s talk about one of the best bottomless brunches in Abu Dhabi. We will go into details and I will take you for a virtual brunching with this review. This way, you know exactly what to expect when you make your way there.

Where and When is “Brunch in Garage”?
Brunch in Garage happens every Saturday from 1pm to 4 pm, inside of the beautiful W hotel on Yas Island. What that means is that you get access to tasty mouth watering food and bottomless drinks for 3 hours.
The location is absolutely stunning too. You can sit inside if you prefer or on the beautiful terrace. The outdoor area is overlooking part of the Yas marina along with the jaw dropping racing track.

Are reservations needed?
It goes without saying that you should indeed make reservations ahead of time. That said, you might also be able to swing by last minute as it was only about 90% full.
The outdoor tables are the first ones to go and were all taken. So please do book ahead if you absolutely want to sit outside.

What’s the vibe like?
The atmosphere was mixed. The music was the usual top charts and they had a DJ on set. Then you had a saxophonist who would accompany on certain tracks, along with female dancers dressed in carnival outfits.
Dubai tends to be pretty adult oriented whereas Abu Dhabi is more on the family friendly side. So as expected, there were quite a lot of families, kids and babies. All the families were sitting on the terrace while the indoors were mostly youngish millennial adults.
That said, the kids were well behaved and the brunch didn’t turn into a daycare which I really appreciated.

So How’s the Food?
Honestly the food is the most diverse I’ve seen at a brunch. But what makes this brunch extra special is that they have a lot of seafood. There are many food stations.
From a wok and Asian food section, to a very elaborate salad bar. You can also expect a charcuterie board straight out of Pinterest.
Did I mention the steak and the desert table?
Like I said, besides brunch at zero gravity, I’ve never really seen such an extensive menu. Everything tasted amazingly good.
I am very picture heavy, so just keep scrolling down this photo essay to have a private walk through the brunch.
You’re welcome 🙂
