I Think This is The Best Brunch in Yerevan & Here’s Why ( Vostan Restaurant Review)

I seriously believe I’ve found the best restaurant in Yerevan. Yes, I know this is a very bold statement to make but hear me out. I didn’t just casually throw this out there. There are some serious reasons why I truly believe this place is special.

Looking for one of the best spot to eat in Yerevan? This has it all.

So without further ado, I present you my all time favorite restaurant in Yerevan Armenia ” Vostan” .

It’s time for you to sit back and get comfortable now. Perhaps grab a cuppa and let me tell you why Vostan restaurant is so awesome in this Yerevan food blog.

Where is Vostan Yerevan located?

It is located at 8 Abovyan street, Yerevan, Armenia

This beautiful gem is only 7 minutes walk away from Yerevan’s Republic Square.

There is so much to do in Yerevan. And here I am, adding more to your never ending list.

Yes, yes, I know!

But trust me, if you’re a foodie like myself, do try to pay a visit to this little heavenly spot.

Let me try my best to describe the place.

First of all, this is more than a restaurant. It is an entire immersive experience that teleports you to the depth of the Armenian essence.

The second you arrive on site, you are welcomed by this great wooden door. The hallway is seamlessly transformed into some sort of makeshift store. This is where they expose some local products and handicrafts for purchase. Then you continue onto the piece de resistance, the backyard. This is where they host their brunch.

Honestly, the whole place has been curated with so much attention to details. There is also a terrace right above where you get a fantastic Birdseye view over the beautiful lower garden.

What’s so special about Vostan?

As a foodie, I have been fortunate to eat in a lot of world class establishment. But there is just something different about Vostan. The thing is it’s not just a restaurant but it’s a whole cultural concept. They have done a fantastic job capturing the Armenian tradition.

When you step into the garden, you feel as if everything stops and forget all about the outside world. I don’t know if it was just me but I fell so much great energy and so connected.

It’s beyond food, you feel like you are taking part of a greater purpose. Oddly enough, the warmth of the beautiful terrace fosters a sense of togetherness and belonging.

Reservations & Timings

Vostan Restaurant is open daily from 10 AM to 11 PM. When I went there, we weren’t able to make reservations for the brunch. It was more of a first come first serve basis.

That said, always do check their website (Facebook) and instagram @vostan_mbg before heading over there. I suppose you could always go the old-school way and give them a call at +374 11 480000 🙂

This way you will be aware of any special events. You can be pleasantly surprised as they often have local artist and performers adding to the vibe.

The Brunch

Remember that brunch I just mentioned?

So the brunch seems to be on a first serve basis. It is still worth calling them ahead to see if the rules have changed ever since. Otherwise, you should aim to arrive when they open and by 10 AM the latest.

My group was one of the first to arrive and we had the pleasant situation to choose all the great tables on the terrace upstairs. Some late arrivals weren’t so lucky and had to settle for the tall tables without any sitting chairs. So it’s worth planning accordingly.

I also love that the cocktails are unlimited and included in the brunch.

More about the Food

In case this wasn’t clear enough, the food is OUTSTANDING. I love that they prioritize local and authentic cuisine. Don’t forget to peep at the kitchen. You can often find some Armenian grandmothers making lavash bread right next to the brunch table spread. 🙂

One more thing!

Armenia is well known for their rich fruits. Do yourself a favor and indulge. Then come back and tell me what you think of those tasty strawberries. I still dream of them so much.

Oh and don’t forget the honey cake. Just wow! I must have had at least 3 servings. #NoJudgementPlease haha

All this to say that if you have some cute stretchy pants or outfits, this would be a great time to wear them.

What can you expect?

Well besides the heavenly garden backyard, get ready for some of the best food. That said, there’s something I want to reiterate. Don’t forget that this place is popular. I recommend showing up on the earlier side of the clock.

Other than that, the atmosphere is not stuffy but very relax and outgoing.
