Best Places To Shop in Bali for Unique Items- Ethical Stores and Markets
Bali is a shopping heaven. Before my visit to the island of gods, I didn’t fully grasp the extent of the shopping opportunities.
To make things worse, I did not really plan to buy too many stuff.
But once I arrived in Canggu and Ubud, I was smitten and lured in by so many beautiful items.
If you’re like me and love handicrafts and artisan made products, you will have so many choices in Bali.
There is a plethora of ethically sourced, locally made artisan gems.
That’s why I wanted to write this.
So let me tell you about my favourite places that I discovered from my recent visit to Bali.
So here are some of my favourite shops to go hunt for unique items.
Ubud
Ubud is a whole vibe I swear!
I really like the atmosphere there and the beautiful nature and lush trees everywhere.
As if that wasn’t plenty by itself, Ubud is also a shopping mecca.
Samara Natural Resort Wear
I stumbled upon that little shop by accident.
The items that were on display were so beautiful, I couldn’t stop myself from going in.
Then it’s only afterwards, that I realized it was the same shop that a friend was telling me about the night before.
Samara has some of the most beautiful 100% linen dresses, and clothing. They also make their own clothes in house.
So buying from their shop is not only a way to support their business but you also get to take a little piece of Bali with you.
I also love that you can order directly from their website.
If the item you want is sold out, they can easily make it just for you.
Ananda Soul
I met another girlie who was absolutely crazy about this place. I went to check it out also. Although, I didn’t end up buying anything, they have some very unique jewelry pieces.
I recommend checking them out if you are in the market for gold pieces. They had quite an extensive collection.
The items are on the higher side but they are ethically made. Not only that, but they are heavily invested in the community.
The Store at Pyramids of Chi
When in Ubud, I recommend you stop by this place.
I didn’t really like their wellness sound healing program but I absolutely love their shop.
You’ll find lots of unique and high quality things. I wanted to buy everything ðŸ¤
The store has a selection of candles, incenses, clothing and jewelry and more.
Canggu
Canggu has so many stores.
It is impossible to cover them all. And to make matter worse, they keep opening new stores. ðŸ¤
Haze & Glory
My lovely friend @shahadlabelle recommended this place to me.
Shahad, who’s also an amazing yoga retreat leader, has been going to Bali for a very long time and this is one of her favourite shops.
Naturally, I had to check it out when she told me about it. This little place is a gem and is very special. I love that all their items are ethically sourced.
Definitely do make a stop there.

La Brisa Sunday Market
Ok now this is my favourite low key Sunday activity in Bali.
I just LOVE this place so much.
It’s a whole vibe!
It only happens on Sunday.
Imagine a lovely market where you can find so many things. I have indeed bought lots of items at the market.
They have EVERYTHING!
You will find all sorts of merchants selling their crafts, from perfume, to clothes and everything in between.
I bought some artisan made in Bali perfume.
I also bought multiple dresses handmade by that lovely lady. There were also rings, and lovely crochet purses.
You’ve been warned!
That market is dangerous for your walletðŸ¤
Not only that but there is also food. You will find all sorts of food from Paella to steaks, to ceviches and oysters.
I finally got to taste Tiko ceviche that I had bookmarked after seeing their stall on IG.
Absolutely Yummy. I went two Sundays in a roll ðŸ¤
Oh my goodness, I didn’t even talk about the dessert yet.
There is this lady who makes the best cheesecakes I’ve ever tasted. I don’t remember her name but Her stand is right next to the Tiko Ceviche stand.
I had caramel cheesecake.
But she also has some very interesting flavours such as Tiramisu cheesecakes.
I am telling you, pure heaven.
Boutique at Love Anchor
This place is not too far from Haze & Glory. It’s another spot where you’ll find high quality clothes and jewelry.
